City National Expands in Orange County With Opening of Second Commercial Banking Office to Service Growing Middle Market

Bank Attracts Top Talent for New and Existing Offices

IRVINE, CA – City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced the opening of a second commercial banking office in Orange County located in the City of Orange at 333 City Blvd., Suite 710.  The bank also announced that it has hired Kevin Guetig as senior vice president and manager of its new office that will service a growing middle market in the county.  Guetig joins City National from Wells Fargo with nearly 20 years of experience.

Additionally, City National is proud to announce that it has also hired Jason Gwin as senior vice president and manager of the bank’s original commercial banking office in Orange County located at its regional banking center in Irvine at 18111 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 120.  Gwin also joins City National from Wells Fargo with 25 years of banking experience.  Both Gwin and Guetig will be part of the bank’s senior leadership team in Orange County.

Lastly, the bank has also hired Marty Roblee as senior vice president and regional credit manager for the Commercial Banking teams in Orange County.  Roblee also joins City National from Wells Fargo where he spent 9 of the last 18 years in the credit area of the bank.  He, along with Guetig and Gwin, will all report to John Wheeling, Southern California regional manager for the Commercial Banking Division at City National.

Since embarking upon his banking career in 2000, Guetig has worked exclusively with Wells Fargo as a senior relationship manager in commercial banking, a business banking team lead and manager, as well as a territory manager for Wells Fargo’s Equipment Finance group.  He is a graduate of the University of Louisville, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting.  He is very active in the community serving currently on the board and as secretary of Camp Fire USA and board president of Los Alamitos Education Foundation.

During Gwin’s tenure in banking, he more recently served as regional vice president in commercial banking at Wells Fargo.  He also worked for Comerica Bank as a commercial banking officer, Bankers Trust Company as a team leader and assistant treasurer, and Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company as a credit analyst.  He is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  He also earned an MBA in Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis and Investments.

Roblee spent 20 years at Wells Fargo serving most recently as loan team manager.  Prior to that, he served nine years as senior relationship manager and senior credit products officer for Bank of America in Orange County.  Marty is a graduate of Oklahoma City University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.
