Royal Bank of Canada and City National Bank to Contribute $125,000 to Aid Victims of the Northern and Southern California Fires

LOS ANGELES — City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross and another $25,000 to the California Fire Foundation to assist with relief efforts in the devastating California wildfires.

“On behalf of everyone at City National, we extend our gratitude to the brave firefighters and first responders who continue to battle these fires, and our hearts go out to all the victims of these disasters,” said Kelly Coffey, CEO of City National Bank. “Our colleagues live and work in these communities, and we are committed to helping with the recovery efforts however we can.”

The $125,000 donation from City National and Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, as well as RBC Wealth Management-U.S. and RBC Capital Markets, has been given to the following organizations and funds:

  • $100,000 to the American Red Cross’ California Wildfires Fund;
  • $25,000 to the California Fire Foundation, a nonprofit that provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect.
