Denise Colletta Named to Variety’s 2026 Women’s Impact Report

Congratulations to Denise Colletta, managing director and head of corporate music at City National Bank, for being named to Variety's 2026 Women's Impact Report. The annual report recognizes the executives, creators, and dealmakers shaping the entertainment industry across film, television, and music.

Colletta was recognized for her significant contributions to music finance. She manages a $2 billion portfolio and, over the last year, has led her team to originate or participate in more than $1 billion in global commitments of financing requests, reinforcing City National's position as a trusted capital partner across a rapidly evolving industry.

Named to Billboard's inaugural Finance 50 Power List in 2026, Colletta brings more than two decades of banking experience to a sector that increasingly demands it. Her team has financed independent labels and publishers for close to 20 years and was among the first to recognize the DIY artist economy as a bankable market, backing that segment since 2019.

This year, she has joined panels hosted by the Recording Academy and the 2026 Music Investor Conference, where she spoke alongside the industry's most prominent dealmakers on the current state of catalog sales, emerging deal structures, the impact of AI on valuations, and where music investment is headed. Her ability to discuss complex financial topics in practical, accessible terms has made her a sought-after voice when the rules around rights and revenue are being rewritten.

Colletta was previously featured in Variety's 2017 Women's Impact Report, at the time the only banker included, and has been recognized as a Variety Dealmaker on multiple occasions.
