ABC7 Spotlights Financial Wellness Event and $1.3M LAUSD Investment

ABC7 covered the financial wellness and career development event hosted at Santee High School in Los Angeles, where City National Bank announced a $1.3 million, three-year investment to expand the Dollars + Sense financial education program across LAUSD. 

The segment captured interactive activities, a $2,000 scholarship presentation, and insights from Everfi, LAUSD, and City National leadership, highlighting how the initiative supports financial literacy and educational opportunities for students ahead of California's new personal finance course graduation requirement.

Through collaboration with local schools and organizations, City National strengthens the community by empowering the next generation with essential financial skills. During the 2025–26 school year, the initiative reached over 17,000 students across nearly 140 schools. As the three-year investment unfolds, the initiative aims to expand its reach and deepen its impact, ensuring more students gain the financial literacy skills needed for long-term success.
