Patrick McCarthy Named New York Marketing Leader

City National's Marketing and MarTech head recognized on Crain's New York Business' "Notable in Advertising, Marketing & PR" list for the third year in a row.

Patrick McCarthy, senior vice president and head of Marketing and MarTech, was recognized on Crain's New York Business' "Notable in Advertising, Marketing & PR" list. He has made the list for the third year in a row.

McCarthy is responsible for developing and executing the City National's brand marketing, content development, advertising, segment marketing social media campaigns. He is also responsible for client experience and insights, our marketing technology stack and our Salesforce Center of Excellence.

In his four years at the bank, McCarthy has been instrumental in enhancing City National's reputation as a digitally enabled relationship bank. Under McCarthy's leadership, marketing to diverse audiences has been a key priority, as seen with recent campaigns executed by City National that successfully drive diverse visitors to cnb.com. As a result, diverse visitors increased by 38% in the first quarter of 2023. He also advocated for marketing campaign promoting a product to help clients handle rising interest rates and home valuations, which led to a 150% increase in media-qualified leads.

McCarthy is actively involved in the community through his support of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City, membership on the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Leadership Council and the NextGen board for the Motion Picture & Television Fund.
