FAQs

For all eligible personal accounts, log in to your online account management tool to execute a wire transfer. Or contact your Relationship Manager or Funds Transfer Client Service specialist at (800) 575-5501 for assistance.

To minimize delays in crediting incoming funds to your City National account, please provide the following information to the individual or business that is initiating the wire:

  • Domestic: Wire Routing Transit Number (RTN/ABA) 122016066
  • International: SWIFT/BIC code CINAUS6L
  • Bank Name: City National Bank
  • City, State: Los Angeles, CA (regardless of where your account is located)
  • Beneficiary Name and Account No.: Name of account (as it shows on your bank statement), address, full account number

The SWIFT address is eight or 11 alphanumeric characters long and is an international standard uniquely identifying any financial institution. The SWIFT address is also known as the Bank Identifier Code, or BIC.

Orders for currency cancelled following confirmation but before delivery are subject to reversal at City National's then current purchase rate. Special orders for currency not carried in stock must be prepaid. Other transaction minimums and service fees may apply. Ask us for details.
