Patrick McCarthy, SVP and head of North America Marketing and MarTech at City National Bank, was one of 65 executives in the New York area to be was selected for Crain’s New York Business’ “Notable in Marketing and PR” list. McCarthy is based in New York and manages a national team of more than 50 colleagues. Global giants such as Adobe and Salesforce have both publicly commended McCarthy and City National for the bank's market-leading strategy and execution.
In the middle of a very difficult 2020, McCarthy and his team helped launch and support key initiatives that included marketing for the completely redesigned mobile app, launching an online portal for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), and spearheading a partnership with media conglomerate Condé Nast.
When PPP launched last year, McCarthy and his team worked with colleagues across the bank to develop an online portal that enabled the bank to use Salesforce to process requests related to PPP. This easy-to-navigate portal with cutting-edge security protocols has helped clients secure PPP loans that saved thousands of jobs.
Under McCarthy's leadership, City National partnered with Condé Nast to produce and distribute impactful thought leadership content and insights for middle-market companies in New York, LA and San Francisco in publications including The New Yorker and Vanity Fair.
