Lori Badgett and Diane Pearson Honored by Billboard as “Country Power Players”

Jun 23, 2021

This is the second consecutive year that the Entertainment Banking duo have made the list.

This past weekend, Nashville Entertainment Banking team leaders Lori Badgett and Diane Pearson were recognized as part of Billboard’s seventh annual “Country Power Players” list — their second consecutive year receiving this honor. The publication profiles the people who have driven another solid year for the country music industry, generating billions in sales, streaming and touring.

Badgett and Pearson, along with the entire Nashville City National Bank team, stepped up last year to support clients and the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. They worked around the clock to help clients obtain PPP loans and to help plan for unprecedented uncertainty, which hit the entertainment industry especially hard. In addition to this, the bank stepped up its charity and humanitarian activities, donating over $15 million to a wide range of organizations including the NAACP Legal Defense and Education fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, MusiCares, the Music Health Alliance, ACM Lifting Lives and more.

The Entertainment Banking duo were instrumental in launching the Nashville office in 2011 and quickly grew it to become the premier entertainment bank in town. Under their leadership, the office has grown from a handful of colleagues to now over two dozen people serving some of the most well-known names in the industry.
