David Kinkela

David Kinkela is a Senior Vice President and Team Lead Private Banker with City National’s Private Bank. Based in San Francisco, he and his team of experts develop customized strategies focused on wealth accumulation, preservation and transfer, providing comprehensive financial services to clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mr. Kinkela has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before City National, he served as vice president at Union Bank as a lender to corporate clients, and assistant vice president at Bank of America as a credit analyst and Relationship Manager for middle market business clients. He’s an experienced lender, working with commercial real estate investors.

Mr. Kinkela earned his Master of Science degree in financial planning at Golden Gate University, and his Bachelor’s degree in economics with emphasis in business administration from San Francisco State University. He is licensed California Life and Health Insurance Agent.
