Rich Raffetto is senior executive vice president and head of the Commercial Business and Product Group at City National Bank. Rich directly oversees Commercial & National Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate Banking and Specialty Banking. In addition, Rich has oversight of City National’s commercial and personal product groups, including treasury management, payment card services, residential lending, capital markets services and the First American Equipment Finance leasing business. He also oversees the First Line of Defense Credit Risk team. He is a member of City National’s Executive Leadership Team and Senior Management Team.

Previously, Rich served as the President of City National Bank from 2020 until 2024. Before joining City National, Rich held various leadership roles during 13 years with U.S. Bank’s Corporate & Commercial Banking group. He most recently served as executive vice president and head of the Industrials & Services, Financial Institutions and Public Sector specialized banking units on a nationwide basis, including teams in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Prior to U.S. Bank, Rich served in a variety of commercial and corporate banking leadership roles at BNY Mellon, where he worked for 14 years.

Rich graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a degree in economics and finance. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.

Rich is active in the community and serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Peoples’ Symphony Concerts in New York City.
