Your Story Is Worth It – Celebrating Tribeca’s 25th Anniversary

By Scott Stoddard

Imagine showing your film to an audience of your peers and film lovers for the first time. Will they understand it? Will they like it? Will it be ridiculed?

This feeling of vulnerability is at the heart of “Your Story Is Worth It,” a 30-second video produced by City National Bank to honor the 25th annual Tribeca Festival and their commitment to storytelling.

The short video captures the internal struggle between confidence and self-doubt that every artist faces before their big moment. It debuted on June 3, the festival’s opening night, ahead of a performance by Earth, Wind & Fire. It was also shown at the start of all 100 films screened at Tribeca, which ended on June 14.

City National, a decades-long leader in entertainment banking, returned for its sixth season as the official bank partner of the Tribeca Festival. It also sponsors the Tony Awards and supports both the talent and the businesses behind Hollywood, Nashville, Broadway, music and the Latin entertainment industry with a variety of offerings including custom financing, lending, investing and other banking services.

At Tribeca, the bank sponsored opening night festivities as well as the “Tribeca Talks” series, featuring discussions with actors Paul Rudd, Keke Palmer, songwriter, performer and producer Finneas, and basketball executive and former NBA star Dwayne Wade.
