In an effort to better serve its personal and business clients’ financial needs from any location, City National Bank announced today that the company launched its first virtual office named “Virtual Concierge.” This personalized and remote service provides clients all of the same products and personalized services as a traditional branch with the added convenience of not having to physically visit one. The Virtual Concierge allows clients to bank from wherever they choose.
Clients of City National’s Virtual Concierge can be assisted by simply calling (800) 773-7100 where they will be greeted by a highly skilled relationship manager. Available services include applying for a loan, opening new accounts, and connecting with a local wealth advisor, among many others. While many clients are currently using both the City National mobile app and online banking, the Virtual Concierge is another convenient option for clients to get their banking done.
The Virtual Concierge is a great example of City National’s commitment to listening to its clients’ needs and preferences.
“Throughout the pandemic, we’ve heard loud and clear that many of our clients do not feel comfortable walking into a branch to do their banking,” said Scott Witter, executive vice president of Personal & Business Banking at City National. “Our clients tell us they are enjoying the Virtual Concierge and all the convenience it offers them.”
While the Virtual Concierge enhances the client experience, it benefits the bank’s colleagues as well. Since the team works remotely, colleagues are able to serve even more clients across many geographies and different time zones. Bankers can also bring in other partners on a virtual call to discuss customized options for their clients.
The Virtual Concierge team is led by Elizabeth Thomas, a vice president who brings more than 20 years of financial services experience to the team. Thomas was previously a team lead and manager with City National's Personal & Business Banking division.
The Virtual Concierge team also includes Carolina Tovar, vice president and senior client manager, Ramon Alvarez, assistant vice president and Relationship Manager, and Arlene Michel, assistant vice president and Relationship Manager.
The team is planning to expand as the need for remote relationship banking continues to grow.
