City National Bank Hires Two Bankers for Legal Industry

LOS ANGELES – City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, announced today that it has hired two new bankers in Los Angeles as it expands its services to the legal industry, including tailored financial and wealth management solutions for attorneys and firms in the “Am Law 200,” a list of the top 200 law firms in the nation.

  • Ray Martinez brings 18 years of experience to City National and assumes the role of private banker and trusted client adviser focusing on individual wealth management, trust and estate planning, access to individual and business credit and other financial services. He has a long history serving the legal community in Los Angeles.
  • Erik Larsen joins City National as a client manager. Larsen has 17 years of financial services experience working with high-net-worth families and law firms in the Los Angeles area. 

“City National has successfully served the financial needs of the legal industry for more than 30 years,” said Peyman Salehi, who leads the bank’s Private Banking Law Firm Group and serves as regional manager of Private Banking for Westside Los Angeles. “City National specializes in successfully addressing the financial and wealth management needs of several specific and complex industries.”

Martinez and Larsen will join other dedicated bankers such as Robin L. Burton, who came to City National in 2016. Burton leads the Washington, D.C., Private Banking team and manages the law group on the East Coast.

City National’s expanded legal banking services will include enhanced banking, credit and wealth management solutions for law firm partners, including personal lines of credit and capital contribution loans, as well as equipment financing and strategic interest rate hedging solutions for their firms. Law firms will have a dedicated City National Bank team of experts to assist both their institutional and individual needs within one seamless relationship.
