LAS VEGAS, NV – City National Bank, Nevada’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced that it has hired Morris Jackson as vice president and southern Nevada group manager.  He will also serve as the branch manager of the bank’s Twain banking office located at 6085 West Twain Avenue and the corner of Jones Blvd.  Jackson replaces Dreana Resler who was promoted to Nevada regional sales adviser over all of the relationships managers statewide.  He joins City National from Wells Fargo Bank with over 21 years of banking experience.

In his new role, Jackson will be responsible for managing the branch sales and servicing related responsibilities at the Twain banking office, including the managing of a staff of seven colleagues. Jackson will network through various civic and trade organizations to generate new business opportunities and promote City National.  He will also work closely with other areas of the bank such as Private Banking, Commercial Banking and Real Estate Banking, to enhance existing relationships and develop new business opportunities.  Jackson will report to Bruce Ford, senior vice president and Nevada regional banking manager.

“We are very excited to have Morris join City National as the head of our branch network in southern Nevada,” said Ford.  “He joins City National with a strong banking background and a wealth of experience that will serve him well in his new role.  He also knows and understands the local markets and has been actively involved in the community for many years.”

Prior to joining City National, Jackson worked for Wells Fargo for the past 21 years serving most recently as area president in Northwest Florida.  He began his career with Wells Fargo in Las Vegas in 1996 as a teller, and then was promoted to a personal banker, followed by branch manager and then district manager before moving to Florida in 2016 to serve as area president responsible for 41 branches and over 400 colleagues.

Jackson is a graduate of the University of Phoenix, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast School of Banking at the University of Washington in Seattle.  He is currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University to achieve his MBA degree.

Throughout his career, Jackson has been an active member of the community.  He is currently involved with Clark High School Academy of Finance as well as the Urban and Asian Chambers of Commerce.  He has also participated in such groups as 100 Black Men and was a former board member of the United States Veteran Organization and the Big Bend Boys and Girls Club.  He has volunteered his time to nonprofit organizations such as the Clark County School District’s Academy of Finance program and Delta Education Leadership Training Academy as a mentor to high school students.  In addition, he has served as a football coach for National Youth Sports.
