Jun 26, 2018

MINNEAPOLIS ― City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced that it has promoted Diane Wakefield to lead the bank’s Private Banking team in the Minneapolis region. Wakefield was previously a senior private banker in the bank’s San Francisco office.

Wakefield joined City National in 2015 to provide tailored financial solutions to wealthy families, entrepreneurs and business management firms in the Bay Area. In her new capacity, she will relocate with her family to Minneapolis to lead and grow City National’s Private Banking team in the Twin Cities area. Wakefield will report to Michael Pagano, head of Private Banking at City National nationwide.

“Diane is a terrific addition to our team in Minneapolis,” Pagano said. “She brings the right combination of experience, approach and energy. Her depth and breadth of expertise, coupled with her long experience in working with wealthy families, will enable her to be a great resource to our clients and colleagues.”

Wakefield will work in the bank’s Twin Cities Regional Center, in downtown Minneapolis at RBC Plaza. The branch delivers City National’s relationship-focused private and business banking capabilities. Private Banking focuses on high-net-worth families, and their related nonprofit organizations and professional services firms. The office provides services especially for clients of RBC Wealth Management.

Wakefield has more than 20 years of financial services experience and has worked with wealthy families across the country in various capacities. Prior to joining City National, she served as senior vice president with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
