Rohit Sharma is the U.S. chief financial officer of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), and interim chief financial officer of City National Bank. Rohit is responsible for providing primary oversight in the U.S. region of all finance-related areas, U.S. financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial resource management and end to end financial controls. In addition, he is accountable for driving adherence to control and governance requirements of RBC across the U.S. region, which includes RBC U.S. Group Holdings LLC ("RBC U.S.") and Royal Bank of Canada U.S. branches, agencies and representative offices. Rohit chairs the U.S. ALCO, U.S. CFO Council and other project steering committees to drive and enable strategies to improve the U.S. Finance organization, improve the U.S. operations and help drive the U.S. business to optimal capacity and strength. Rohit is a member of RBC CFO Operation Committee and U.S. Operating Committee.

Rohit joined RBC Capital Markets in 2015 as director, Capital Policy and Adequacy (CCAR group). In 2018, Rohit was promoted to managing director – head of CCAR and U.S. financial performance management. Rohit joined RBC from GE Capital where he held various leadership roles in finance, treasury and risk management.

Rohit holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Computer Science Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
