Linda Duncombe is executive vice president and chief marketing, data and digital officer of City National Bank. Linda leads a team that is responsible for advancing the company’s brand and digital strategy, articulating its value proposition and supporting business development.

Linda oversees marketing, client experience, advertising and communications, as well as digital channels, data and analytics and multicultural outreach. She is also responsible for the bank’s technology innovation team, which identifies and deploys fintech solutions for City National and its clients.

Linda is a member of the company’s Executive Council and reports to Chief Executive Officer Kelly Coffey. She chairs the bank’s Data Governance Committee, and serves as executive sponsor of its Women’s Network and the LGBTQ Alliance.

Prior to joining City National, Linda was the global head of design for Citibank’s Global Consumer Bank and the chief marketing officer and head of growth for Citi FinTech. In this capacity, she managed the Global Consumer Bank’s digital and mobile transformation, as well as the marketing and communication strategy for Citi FinTech.

Linda has been named to Variety’s list of the most powerful women in Hollywood every year since 2019, and the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized her as one of the most influential women in banking from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, the Los Angeles Times named Linda a “Banking and Finance Visionary,” and in 2021, the publication named her to its list of inspirational women. Also in 2021, Salesforce’s The CMO Club selected her as its “CMO Social Responsibility” award winner, and she was named in the Top Teams of American Banker’s most powerful women in banking.

Linda serves on the boards of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Broadway Cares, the Grammy Museum and EvoNexus. She also serves on the executive committee and board of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. 

Linda earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Sydney University. She is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, and she completed Citi’s Women’s Leadership Development Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Born in Australia, Linda began her career with National Australia Bank and held a variety of roles in business banking, private banking and consumer banking. She went on to serve as the head of customer franchise with Citi in Australia, where she led digital banking, customer experience and marketing.
