Verna Grayce Chao

Verna Grayce Chao is executive vice president of Commercial and Consumer Banking Products at City National Bank, overseeing treasury management, all deposits, commercial and personal credit cards, residential and small businesses lending, digital, and software offerings. She also serves on the company’s Senior Management Team.

Before being promoted to executive vice president in March 2019, Verna Grayce was the general manager of AgilLink, City National’s leading developer of specialized accounting and productivity software. She also served as the general manager and chief marketing officer of Source Medical Solutions in Los Angeles. Earlier in her career, she was a marketing director for Dell and program director for IBM.

Verna Grayce was recognized as one of the most influential women in banking by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2020 and 2021. She was also named in the Top Teams of American Banker’s most powerful women in banking in 2021. She is a founding member of the Los Angeles chapter of Chief, a private network that connects and supports rising female leaders. She also serves the community as a board member for the American Red Cross (Los Angeles Region).

Verna Grayce earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
