Timothy Cooney

Tim Cooney is a senior vice president and private banker with City National Bank’s Private Banking team in the Metro NY market, customizing financial advice and high-touch service to wealthy individuals, families and institutions.

Mr. Cooney brings more than 20 years of banking experience. Prior to City National, he was a senior vice president at Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust). Previously, he was an executive director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, working with affluent families and institutions. He began his financial services career at Goldman Sachs, where he was a vice president in the Equities Division covering some of the firm’s largest New York accounts.

Mr. Cooney earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in accounting, with honors, from The Pennsylvania State University. He is an elected board member for the Schreyer Honors College Alumni Board. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
