How do I get Direct Connect with Quicken?
Complete the Direct Connect with Quicken application form. You will need the following:

  • A City National Bank personal or business checking account
  • Internet access
  • A version of Quicken that is current or no more than two years old

What is the cutoff time for bill payments?
Same-day bill payments through Direct Connect with Quicken must be made before 6 p.m. PT.

What is the cutoff time for funds transfers?
Funds transfers made Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. PT, or weekends and holidays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., will appear in your activity immediately. Transfers made at other times will appear in your activity by 9 a.m. PT the following business day.

Which type of accounts can I transfer between with Direct Connect with Quicken?
You can transfer between your checking, savings and money market accounts.

I'm already setup using my City National Online credentials with Quicken. How is Direct Connect with Quicken different?
Direct Connect with Quicken connects your computer directly to City National Bank, enabling you to import account information, pay bills, and transfer funds. Direct Connect with Quicken requires a computer with Quicken software.

Do I need to be enrolled in City National Online in order to use Direct Connect with Quicken?
No.

I've been downloading my account information from City National Online into Quicken. What do I need to know if I switch to Direct Connect with Quicken?
If you switch to Direct Connect with Quicken, watch for duplicate transactions with your first download. Accept your transactions carefully to avoid duplicates.

I've been paying bills with City National Online. What do I need to know if I switch to Direct Connect with Quicken?

  • If you stop paying bills with City National Online, be aware of any pending payments and adjust your payment method as appropriate.
  • Your City National Online payees can’t be transferred to Quicken. You will need to re-enter each payee’s information.
