Robert Iritani is executive vice president and manager of City National Bank’s Specialty and Commercial Banking divisions. These two divisions were consolidated under his leadership in November 2017.
City National provides middle-market companies with a full complement of industry-specific lending and investment solutions. In his role as manager of the Specialty and Commercial Banking divisions, Mr. Iritani leads more than 500 colleagues in providing asset-based lending, international banking, structured finance, equipment leasing and assistance with client mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Iritani is a member of the bank’s Executive Committee and also the regional executive for City National’s Orange County region. In addition, he is the executive sponsor of City National’s Multicultural Mentoring Program and the bank’s Toastmasters International club, CityMasters.
Mr. Iritani began his banking career in 1980. He joined City National in 1998 as senior vice president and manager of the bank’s Corporate Banking department, which he founded.
Through the years, Mr. Iritani has used his diverse banking experience to help middle-market and Fortune 500 companies develop financing strategies and manage their balance sheets.
Mr. Iritani is a board member of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy and the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade. He is a volunteer mentor with the Professional Mentorship Program at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Mr. Iritani also serves as a Business Advisory councilmember of Pepperdine University’s Seaver College and is a member of the Pepperdine Associates.
A resident of Orange County, Mr. Iritani earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Colorado.
