Executive Vice President
Aaron Cohen is an executive vice president and manager of City National Bank's Structured Finance unit. Mr. Cohen is responsible for the bank's corporate banking, sponsor finance, cash-flow lending and syndicated credit activities. Additionally, Mr. Cohen oversees the division's capital finance, foreign exchange sales, municipal finance, interest rate risk management, international banking and trade finance, and healthcare teams. Together, Mr. Cohen manages teams that have grown to more than $4.5 billion in combined loans outstanding. He also is a member of the bank's Executive Committee.
Mr. Cohen began his banking career at City National Bank in 1996. He joined City National's Structured Finance unit in 2004, became manager in 2011 and assumed his current position in 2016.
Mr. Cohen earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Emory University and a master's degree in business administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Active in the community, he is on the board of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles, where he serves as treasurer, and is an advisory board member with the Los Angeles chapter of Facing History and Ourselves.
