David Jacobsen

David E. Jacobsen is a Senior Vice President and Team Lead Private Banker for City National Bank’s Private Banking team. Based at City National’s 400 Park Avenue office, he addresses the financial needs of affluent and professional communities in the metropolitan New York area.

Mr. Jacobsen began his career in 1980 at The Bank of New York as assistant treasurer. He joined Bank of New England’s Private Bank in 1985. As a relationship manager, he was charged with establishing a full-service office in Danbury, CT, and a loan production in Purchase, NY. Before joining City National in 2004, he was a 16-year veteran of the Citigroup Private Bank.

Mr. Jacobsen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. A Certified Financial Planner®, he holds a broker/dealer Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses and a Series 24 supervisory principal license.
