MIGRATION PHASES & ACTIVITIES

Get ready for City National Business Suite

Your Migration Phases

The following guide has been prepared to make your transition as easy and seamless as possible. Along with these migration tools, we have also prepared extensive User Guides to help with training and platform questions.

Please make sure you follow the steps below during the Pre-Migration phase. It is important to complete any updates to users and templates prior to 6 p.m. PT on Friday, January 28, 2022 to ensure these changes migrate from Treasury Net to Business Suite.

Clean up/verify entitlement for users and remove inactive users. Remove old wire templates and ACH databases (called ACH templates in Business Suite).

To be properly migrated, wire payment templates will need to reflect current information. Your Migration Specialist will review with you any templates that need your attention prior to migration.

Serial numbers will be needed to reactivate a user's token in Business Suite.

If any of your users' token serial numbers are illegible, please contact your Relationship Manager to get a replacement token. In addition, all approvers in the new system will need a token. To make sure you have enough tokens, the Migration Specialist will want to review with you who is approving your wires and if you want these approvers to change in the new system. NOTE We have changed the payment approval process from that of Treasury Net. With Business Suite, the last approver is the one who releases the payment with a token, not a "releaser" as in Treasury Net.

At migration, we will send users a temporary password to the email on file in Treasury Net. Please ask users to review this email under Setup > Change My Security Question to ensure that it is current as described here.

As applicable, ensure users also have accurate, consistent names and email addresses on file in other treasury services that will be accessible via single sign-on, including Business Bill Pay, E-Deposit, ACH Positive Pay and Account Reconcilement Processing.

You will receive your users' new User IDs. You will be responsible for distributing these User IDs to users. Note: in Business Suite, a Company ID is no longer required, but this means that all User IDs must be unique across all City National users. Therefore, some users' User IDs may change.

As you are able, please minimize any changes in Treasury Net as we approach migration to Business Suite. Any changes or updates made to Treasury Net after 6 p.m. PT on Friday, January 28, 2022 will need to be repeated in Business Suite.

If you use QuickBooks or Quicken, you will need to update your settings. Please refer to the QuickBooks/Quicken Conversion Instructions for details.

You will have a preview period to view and learn Business Suite while you are still using Treasury Net. Please make sure you follow the steps below during your initial logins to the platform. It is important to complete these tasks to ensure a successful launch.

During the weekend ahead of Phase 2-Get Started, you will receive a temporary password from City National Online, and you will use this password with the User ID to sign in to City National Online to access Business Suite. When you sign in for the first time, you will want to delete your browser’s cache, temporary files, and cookies to ensure your login does not conflict with existing files. Please refer to the first time login guide for step-by-step instructions.

Add Business Suite to your trusted sites and bookmarks, and make sure all of your users have received their new temporary passwords and have signed in to Business Suite.

Make time to review your list of users to ensure each has migrated successfully. Also, you will need to validate each user's permissions (especially ACH limits, if applicable), as they will have changed in the new system.

Review our training resources, including user guides and how-to videos. Note that some webinars require pre-registration.

While most of your data will be migrated automatically, you may want to download data, save backups and print certain reports from Treasury Net. Review our list to see items that will and will not automatically convert.

Your wire templates and ACH databases will be migrated to the new system, but will need to be reviewed and approved in Business Suite; otherwise your templates will not be available for use with payments.

Re-establish all alerts, transfer templates and recurring transfers and ACH payments, as well as favorite reports, as these items do not migrate.

Standard and custom import formats will be made available in the new system during your migration weekend. In the positive pay module, use the Issue Upload Test feature to test your check issue files to ensure your import map is working properly and issues are uploaded successfully. If not, inform your migration specialist and provide the import map name used on Treasury Net.

On the last business day of transacting in Treasury Net – before the 7 p.m. PT cutoff time – ensure that you review and approve the check issue information that you entered that day or on previous days. At this time, also disable Treasury Net Positive Pay alerts.

In Phase 3 of your migration, all users can begin transacting through Business Suite. Treasury Net access will become view only.

Note: If you currently use Business Bill Pay, a new version will be accessible through Business Suite. Additionally, if you currently use other treasury management services, including E-Deposit, ACH Positive Pay, and Account Reconcilement Processing, you will have single sign-on access to these services..

For an additional two weeks, you will have access to Treasury Net for data review and validation, account history, and audit history.

While most of your data will be converted, you will want to reestablish any data that WILL NOT be converted, such as recurring payroll transactions. Review the full list of data that will not be converted.

In the final phase of your migration, your Treasury Net access will be deactivated, and you will no longer be able to log in to the old platform.

At this point, you will use Business Suite for all of your business banking transactions.
