    Is this a credit card?

    No, it's a prepaid Visa Gift Card that carries a fixed U.S. dollar amount determined by the giver at the time of purchase. The Bancorp Bank is the issuer of the Card under a sales arrangement with City National Bank. The funds available on the Card are held by The Bancorp Bank. The Bancorp Bank is an FDIC insured member institution and the funds available on the Card are considered deposits for FDIC insurance purposes.

    How do I activate my Visa Gift Card?

    You can activate your Visa Gift Card by calling (866) 208-3282 toll free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or visit www.cnb.com/giftcard. Make sure you have your 16-digit Visa Gift Card account number ready as well as the 3-digit code to the right in the signature panel on the back of your card.

    How do I use my Visa Gift Card?

    Be sure to always know your balance before making a purchase. Present your card when you're ready to pay and tell the merchant you'd like to sign a receipt. At a PIN pad, swipe your card and choose CREDIT and sign your receipt.

    Where can I use my Visa Gift Card?

    You can use your Visa Gift Card wherever Visa debit cards are accepted- including over the phone and Internet.

    How do I check my balance?

    Visit www.ppdmoney.com or call (866) 208-3282. Most merchants cannot check your balance so you should always know how much money you have left on your Card.

    Why should I register my Visa Gift Card and where do I register it?

    You are strongly encouraged to register your Visa Gift Card. If it is lost or stolen, this is the only way you can request a replacement card (less a replacement fee). Register the Card at www.ppdmoney.com.

    How long can I use my Visa Gift Card?

    Your Card will expire no sooner than five (5) years from the date of purchase and the expiration date appears on the Card. You will not be able to use your Card after expiration but you may request a replacement card. The funds on your Card do not expire but an inactivity fee may apply. You are encouraged to use your Card's entire value within 12 months after it is purchased. If there is no activity on your Card for twelve (12) consecutive months an inactivity fee of $4.95 will be applied per month against the remaining balance if the Card remains inactive.     Can I add money to my Visa Gift Card or use it at an ATM or to get a cash advance?

    No, you cannot add money to a Visa Gift Card and you cannot you use it at an ATM or to get a cash advance.

    What if my Visa Gift Card balance is less than the purchase price? Will my purchase be rejected?

    If the anticipated purchase amount is greater than the balance in the Visa Gift Card account, your Card may be declined. To avoid this, tell the merchant up front how much you'd like to pay with your Card. If the merchant allows it, you could use another form of payment for the remaining amount.

    What is the difference between a Visa Gift Card and a Gift Card from a merchant location such as Starbucks, Home Depot, etc.?

    The Visa Gift Card can be used  wherever  Visa debit cards are accepted. Store issued Gift Cards are limited to only one store or a group of stores, depending on the card issued.

    What happens when I have spent all of the funds on my Visa Gift Card?

    Your Visa Gift Card can no longer be used as a means for payment. Cut up the Visa Gift Card and securely dispose of it.

    Can the Visa Gift Card ever have a negative balance?

    No, any transaction that is greater than the Visa Gift Card account's available balance will be declined.

    Will I receive a statement on my Visa Gift Card?

    No, you can get the balance on your gift card by going to www.ppdmoney.com or call (866) 208-3282.

    What will happen if I need to return an item purchased with my Visa Gift Card?

    Depending upon the merchant's return policies, the merchant may credit your Visa Gift Card , provide you a cash refund, or issue you a store credit.

    What happens if my Visa Gift Card has been lost or stolen?

    If you have registered your Visa Gift Card online, call Client Services at (866) 208-3282 as soon as you can, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Unregistered Visa Gift Cards will not be replaced.

    Who can purchase a Visa Gift Card?

    Visa Gift Cards, issued by The Bancorp Bank and sold by City National Bank, are only sold by City National to City National clients.
