Scott Witter

Executive Vice President
Personal and Business Banking

Scott WitterScott Witter is executive vice president of Personal and Business Banking at City National Bank and is a member of the bank’s Executive Committee. Mr. Witter is responsible for strategic direction, business development and client service within the bank’s small business, consumer and preferred banking lines of business. He oversees more than 500 colleagues in California, Nevada, Minneapolis and New York.

Mr. Witter has more than 30 years of financial services experience and most recently served as senior vice president and manager of City National’s Private Client Services in New York. He joined City National in 2008 as the Los Angeles Private Client Services manager, after spending 18 years at Bank of America, where he held senior sales management positions in consumer, premier and private banking. Witter’s previous experience also includes assignments in corporate treasury, regulatory reporting, compliance, accounting, corporate relations and government affairs.

Mr. Witter earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration from California State University, Los Angeles. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and has completed the Consumer Bankers Association graduate degree program in retail banking.

He has been a member of several non-profit boards, including the Children’s Bureau of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Library Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation. For 27 years, Witter had a dual career as a reserve police officer for the City of Azusa, and received the Meritorious Service Award, in 2002. He retired from the force in 2014 as a result of his relocation to New York.
