Marianne Lamutt

Marianne Lamutt is executive vice president and director of City National Bank’s Human Resources Division. In this capacity, she oversees all human resources activities, including colleague recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, diversity, equal opportunity, and training and development. Ms. Lamutt, who joined the company in 2008, also is a member of the bank’s Executive Committee.

Ms. Lamutt began her career in human resources in 1979. Most recently, she served as a senior vice president at Bank of the West. In addition to managing compensation and benefit plans for 10,000 employees, she oversaw the finance, accounting and information systems of its human resources department.

From 1998 to 2003, Ms. Lamutt served as vice president of Total Rewards for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc. From 1994 through 1998, she worked for The Walt Disney Company.  As a senior manager of human resources for Disney Stores worldwide, she was responsible for the design, implementation and administration of human resources programs for 18,000 employees in the United States and abroad. 

Between 1979 and 1993, Ms. Lamutt held positions of responsibility with three major corporations: California retailer Carter Hawley Hale, Rhode Island-based Textron Corporation and aerospace giant Lockheed Corporation.

She serves on the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Lamutt earned her master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She resides in Pasadena, Calif.
