City National Rochdale Named to Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers List

Aug 03, 2020

NEW YORK – City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, announced today that City National Rochdale (CNR), its investment management subsidiary, has been named to the 2020 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers. The list honors top independent RIA firms from across the country.

“Recognition in the FT 300 is testament to City National Rochdale’s personalized process and strong client dedication,” said Garrett D’Alessandro, chief executive officer of CNR and head of wealth management and private banking at City National Bank. “We’ve grown our investment capabilities and personnel to better serve our clients and advisors, and we’re happy to see the positive feedback reflected in this recognition.”

This is the seventh annual FT 300 list, produced independently by Ignites Research, a division of Money-Media, Inc., on behalf of the Financial Times. Ignites Research provides business intelligence on investment management.

Firms were graded on six factors: assets under management (AUM); AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records. There are no fees or other considerations required of RIAs that apply for the FT 300.

D’Alessandro joined City National as CEO of City National Rochdale in 2012 when the bank acquired the firm’s predecessor, Rochdale Investment Management, which D’Alessandro had led  since 1986. He was promoted to head City National’s wealth management and private banking business in April this year.
