City National Bank to Open Full-Service Regional Center in Tysons
NEW NORTHERN VIRGINIA HUB IN TYSONS WILL ENABLE CITY NATIONAL TO BETTER SERVE LOCAL BUSINESSES, HIGH-NET-WORTH INDIVIDUALS AND GOVERNMENT CONTRACTORS.
TYSONS, Va. — City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank®, announced today that it will be opening a new full-service regional center in Tysons, Virginia, to enhance its growing capabilities in Greater Washington, D.C. The new location is expected to open in the spring of 2020.
The new 4,200-square-foot office located in the Boro complex will deliver City National’s full array of credit products, treasury management and investment services to small and midsize businesses and affluent individuals, as well as to middle-market companies.
“The Washington, D.C., area has welcomed City National’s unique brand of relationship banking and the depth and breadth of capabilities we offer, including our backing by Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), one of the largest financial institutions in the world,” said Scott Witter, executive vice president with personal and business banking at City National Bank. “Our new Tysons office will allow us to better serve the thriving business community in this region.”
The Tysons team will work closely with RBC’s wealth management and capital markets businesses to serve clients’ varied needs.

City National’s new office in Tysons is the latest example of the bank’s strategic growth. In the past two years, City National has expanded to serve Washington, D.C., Boston, Long Island, Miami, and soon, Northern Virginia, with the introduction of the Tysons office.

The team at City National’s new regional center will include:
- Ginny Heine, market leader and senior vice president, who leads the experienced Commercial Banking team in Greater Washington, D.C., as well as the bank’s efforts to serve the government contracting industry. Heine and her team bring more than three decades of financial services expertise in the Washington, D.C., area. Active in the community, Heine recently joined the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Business at George Mason University. She also serves on the board of TechLaw Holdings, which provides environmental consulting. Professionally, she has been an active member of the Professional Services Council, the National Defense Industrial Association, the Association for Corporate Growth, Women in Technology, Women in Business and Springboard 2000, among other organizations. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
- Juan Jara, who brings more than 20 years of banking experience and was most recently with EagleBank, where he was responsible for 21 retail branches in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland. Jara is committed to giving back to the community, and he serves as the treasurer of the board of directors of the United Planning Organization. He is also the chairman of the board of directors of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of directors of GALA Hispanic Theatre. Jara is a member of Washington, D.C., Councilmember Brandon Todd’s Ward 4 Economic Development Advisory Council. The Washington Business Journal recognized Jara as a Minority Business Leader in 2016.
