City National Grows New York Team

New Private Bankers to Serve More Clients in Region

NEW YORK – City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business Bank, announced today that it has hired two experienced wealth advisors to better meet the financial needs of clients in New York City and the surrounding area.

Patricia Chambers and Valerie Groh have joined City National as senior vice presidents and senior private bankers with the bank’s New York Private Client Services team. They are responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management strategies and private banking solutions to high-net-worth individuals and their families. Prior to joining City National, Chambers served as a senior vice president and wealth advisor with Wells Fargo, and Groh served as a senior vice president and senior private banker with Wells Fargo.

“City National continues to grow in New York as we add top talent to our team,” said Scott Witter, senior vice president and region manager for Private Client Services in New York. “These two new colleagues allow us to offer our exceptional services to more entrepreneurs and their families in the region. City National Bank’s merger with Royal Bank of Canada, which closed on November 2, will lead to significant growth opportunities throughout the bank, specifically in the Manhattan and tri-state areas.”

City National entered New York in 2002 primarily to serve entertainment clients and has grown to serve wealthy families, nonprofits and professional services firms throughout the region. It now has nearly 250 colleagues in New York including City National Rochdale, which manages investment assets of more than $27 billion.
