Linda Duncombe, executive vice president and chief marketing, product and digital officer, has been named by Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing as one of its “Inspirational Women for 2021.” The award recognizes female business leaders for their contributions and leadership within their organizations, the business world and the community at large during the past 24 months.
Duncombe won in the “Company Executive: Large Company” category. The award was presented on Oct. 26 during the publication’s Inspirational Women Forum and Awards event, which also included panel discussions with accomplished female business leaders.
This recognition underscores Duncombe’s leadership in supporting City National’s communities as the head of the bank’s philanthropic efforts. It also highlights her commitment to supporting clients and colleagues through her team’s event, content, marketing and communication strategies. She was also recognized for her team’s work in making three groundbreaking achievements: accelerating the bank’s digital transformation, including building online portals to automate PPP processes; becoming the first issuer in the U.S. to launch a virtual Visa commercial credit card solution with fintech company Extend that generates on-demand virtual cards for simple, secure, contactless payments; and reimagining both the bank’s mobile app and cnb.com to provide clients with new and better ways to engage with the bank.
Among Duncombe’s many accomplishments, she was recently named to Variety’s annual Women’s Impact Report that celebrates the most innovative women in the entertainment industry. She and the rest of the women on City National’s Executive Committee were also recognized recently as one of just five standout teams on American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking: Top Teams list.
