City National Grows Private Client Services Team in the Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO – City National Bank, America’s Premier Private and Business BankSM, announced today that it has hired two experienced advisors to better meet the financial needs of more clients in the Bay Area.
City National hired Diane Wakefield as a senior vice president and senior private client advisor in the bank’s Walnut Creek Regional Office, reporting to Craig Muller, senior vice president and team leader. Her team provides tailored financial solutions for wealthy families, entrepreneurs and business management firms.
Scott Wiley also joined City National as a vice president and senior private banker. Based in the bank’s San Francisco office, he specializes in providing complex financial solutions to high net worth individuals and families. He reports to David Kinkela, senior vice president and team leader of private banking for City National in San Francisco.

They both bring a high level of expertise and experience, and are well connected in the region’s communities,” said Kent Grubaugh, senior vice president and regional manager of City National’s Northern California region.
Wakefield has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining City National, she served as a senior vice president and private client manager with U.S. Trust, Bank of America. She has completed extensive investment management and portfolio construction coursework at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Diane is a committee member of East Bay Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and has been a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) since 2008.
Wiley has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis in wealth planning, investment management, private banking and customized lending. Prior to joining City National, he served as a vice president and senior private banker with U.S. Bank.
Wiley earned his bachelor’s degree at Santa Clara University and serves on the national board of directors of Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) USA.
