Richard L. Bloch is a partner and co-founder of CLB Partners, a real estate company specializing in the development of quality residential communities. The firm focuses on luxury new-construction product, emphasizing homes in unique upscale environments.

Prior to forming CLB Partners in 1997, Mr. Bloch served as chairman of the Board of Trust Managers for Columbus Realty Trust, a self-administered and self-managed REIT headquartered in Dallas, and also served as a member of its executive committee.

His considerable real estate experience includes the co-development and ownership of the Gulf and Western Building in New York City, the Transamerica Building in Tucson, a Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles, and several IBM and Allstate Insurance facilities.

Mr. Bloch's financial background is highlighted by his service as a director of City National Corporation.

Furthermore, his diverse interests motivated him to become the co-founder and former principal owner of the Phoenix Suns NBA basketball team during which time he also served as chairman of the Board of Governors of the National Basketball Association.

In addition, Mr. Bloch was chairman of the board and CEO of Filmways, Inc. (Orion Pictures) where he acted as chairman of the board of its principal subsidiaries, Union Fidelity Insurance and Grossett & Dunlap, Inc. He also was a co-owner of the NBC-affiliated KVOA television station in Tucson, Ariz.

Appointed by President Clinton in 1995, Mr. Bloch served on the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board until fall of 1998.

Appointed by Governor Gray Davis in 2001, Mr. Bloch served on the 22nd District Agricultural Association Board until 2005.

Mr. Bloch holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
