Q. Do I need a CNB account in order to use CNB's Online Foreign Exchange service?
A. In most cases, yes. In limited situations, we may be able to work with you to provide settlement alternatives in lieu of a CNB account.
Q. What are the methods I can use to settle my trades once the trade is completed online?
A. Settlement is completed using the demand deposit checking accounts you have established with City National Bank, a foreign currency or U.S. dollar account with another financial institution or via a third-party payment. Please call (800) 447-4133 for assistance in settling trades.

A. Please contact City National Bank at (800) 447-4133 in order to make new accounts eligible for settlement.
Q. Are the transactions I am requesting and executing secure?
A. Digital encryption technology is used to provide 128-bit SSL encrypted messaging for your transactions. In addition to the required browser encryption, user names and passwords together with a digital certificate are used as another safety feature to help ensure that your transactions on the Internet are safe and secure. When you log on to CNB's Online Foreign Exchange service, we authenticate your user name and password together with your digital certificate. This information is known only by you and it is up to you to keep this information secure.

Q. What is a Digital Certificate?
A. A digital certificate provides an additional level of identification between you and the bank as messages are sent and received. CNB's Administrator assigns a customized certificate so that only recognized users of CNB's Online Foreign Exchange service are allowed access to the service.
Q. How can I change my password?
A. Your password may be changed at any time and should be changed immediately if you suspect this information has been compromised in any way. Click the "Maintenance" button on the left side of the screen. Click "Change Password". Enter your old password in the "Old Password" field. Then enter your New Password in both the "New Password" and "Verify New Password" fields. Then click the "Change" button. You will be prompted to change your password every 30 days.
Q. I keep getting the message "Connection Lost." What should I do when I receive this message?
A. This message indicates that the Internet connection between your browser and CNB's Online Foreign Exchange service has been severed. Please click the "Reload/Refresh" button (Netscape uses "Reload," Internet Explorer uses "Refresh") in your browser and log in again.

Q. I forgot my password. What should I do?
A. Please call our Customer service department at (800) 447-4133.
Q. Which Web browser can I use to access this service?
A. We support Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher or Netscape Navigator versions 4.60 through 4.73, with 128-bit encryption. The Macintosh Platform is not supported at this time.
Q. What browser version do I have on my PC?
A. For Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, there will be a "Help" option located along the top toolbar of the browser. Click "Help" and select either "About Netscape..." or "About Internet Explorer..." The dialog box will indicate which version of the software is being utilized.

To download the latest version of these browsers, you may go directly to Netscape Navigator's Home page located at www.netscape.com or Microsoft Internet's Home page located at www.microsoft.com. Please note, however, that the Online Foreign Exchange service is only able to support Netscape Navigator versions 4.60 through 4.73 at this time.
