Michael Pagano is executive vice president of Private Client Services for City National Bank, based in Los Angeles. Private Client Services offers the full array of tailored services to help wealthy families and individuals grow, preserve and transfer their wealth. The group also specializes in serving professional services firms and their senior members.
In his current position, which he assumed in November 2007, Mr. Pagano oversees the group's strategy, business development and client service in California and Nevada. He also is a member of the bank’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Pagano joined the financial services industry in 1985 and has worked exclusively in wealth management and private banking since 1994. He has held a range of client-focused and management roles, including new client development, sales management, investment management, operational infrastructure, and strategic planning and integration, and division leadership.
Most recently, Mr. Pagano was southwest region president for the Private Bank at Bank of America. Based in Los Angeles, he and his team managed $23 billion in assets for clients in Southern California, southern Nevada and Arizona. Before that, he was chief administrative officer for Bank of America’s Private Bank and was based in Boston.
Mr. Pagano is a member of the board of directors of the Music Center/Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles and is a former board member of the Sunny Hills Children’s Garden in Marin County, Calif.
A native of Colorado, he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver.
Mr. Pagano is married with one child and lives in Los Angeles.
