Using your Visa Platinum Check Card is quicker than making a trip to the ATM, more convenient than writing checks, and safer than carrying cash.
Your Visa Platinum Check Card also acts as your City National ATM card. You can use your card to get cash from over 2 million ATMs worldwide wherever the STAR SYSTEM® or Plus® logos are displayed.
You can use your Visa Platinum Check Card at millions of merchants worldwide where Visa debit cards are accepted-including grocery stores, restaurants, department stores, hotels, amusement parks, even over the phone or the Internet.

It’s easy to get started. Visit your local City National banker, or call us at (800) 773-7100, Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Pacific Time and Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

1 Provided sufficient collected funds are on deposit in the checking account.
2 PIN-based transactions do not earn Points under City National Rewards.
3 Points are earned on net purchases only (purchases less returns/ credits). PIN based transactions do not earn Points.
4 As long as your account is open and the Rewards Program has not ended, your Points do not expire. If, however, your account is closed, any unredeemed Points remaining on the date of account closure are forfeited and expire. If the Rewards Program is terminated for any reason, you will be notified, in which event you will have at least 60 days to redeem your Points. After this redemption period, any unredeemed Points will expire.
5 Zero Liability coverage applies when you have not been grossly negligent in handling your account or your card and you advise us promptly of an unauthorized transaction. Zero Liability may not apply to PIN-based transactions and other conditions and restrictions may apply.
